Cancelled Graphic

We regret to announce the cancellation of the Government Technology & AI Summit, which was
due to take place on Wednesday 1 July at Convene 200 Aldersgate in St Paul’s, London.
This decision has not been taken lightly. Due to a combination of challenging market conditions and
rising delivery costs, the event is unfortunately no longer viable to deliver at the standard we expect and
that this community deserves.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our speakers, sponsors and delegates who
had committed their time, expertise and, in the case of our sponsors, their budgets to support the Summit.
Your enthusiasm and willingness to contribute to advancing the use of technology and AI across
government made this an incredibly promising event, and we are
truly grateful for your support and understanding.

Overview

Turning Policy into Practice: Unlocking AI, Data, and Digital Transformation in the UK Public Sector

The UK’s policy landscape for AI, data and government technology has changed rapidly in the past 18 months. The Government’s AI Opportunities Action Plan (2025) and the AI Playbook for the UK Government (2025) set out an agenda to support responsible adoption and steer public-sector use of AI towards the UK’s national priorities. At the same time, the State of Digital Government Review (2025) and follow-up work on data-sharing and collaboration underlines that the government already runs large digital estates and holds valuable data assets but struggles with recruitment and facilitating safe data flow between departments.

The government invests billions in digital transformation, while public-sector data alone is worth billions to the economy. Yet delivering large-scale AI projects remains complex, with real operational and practical challenges.

The 2026 Government Technology and AI Summit will help you translate national policy into operational impact, including strengthening digital infrastructure and procurement processes to improving service delivery and public usage of digital services. Attend the full day to build your professional knowledge, connect with peers, and leave with strategies to improve your organisation’s capability to deliver public-focused digital services.
